FloraDance Terms & Conditions

Classes & Timetable

The FloraDance year is divided into two semesters. Semester A runs from after the sports holidays to the summer holidays. Semester B runs from after the summer holidays to the sports holidays.

Lenzburg Studio holidays are based on the schools holidays in Lenzburg, which can be found here

Zug Studio holidays are based on the school holidays in Zug, which can be found here

In the rare event that a class must be cancelled a redeemable class will be rescheduled at a later date within the semester.

The dance school timetable may be subject to change. Dance school members will be notified of any changes.

Registration & Termination

All dancers may have a free trial class in any of the classes offered on the timetable. 

If the dancer decides to join the dance school a completed registration form should be submitted before the first official dance class. 

The trial period lasts 1 month. Cancellation within this time results in only paying for this trial period. Cancellation after the one month trial period is non- refundable.

When the dancer does not wish to continue in the next semester a written termination must be sent before the new semester begins.

Fees & Payment

The fee covers the whole semester.

The fee should be paid in the first month of the semester.

A missed dance class is non-refundable however may be redeemed in another dance class that week.

A dancer joining the dance school after the semester begins will only pay from the start date onwards. The start date is the first class after the free trial lesson.

Teacher

In the event I am not available to teach the classes for a merited reason a substitute qualified teacher will be provided.

Photos and videos

From time to time we will take photos or videos in class. The purpose of these will be for the dancers personal practice at home. These may also be sent in the FloraDance members group chats to share what we are doing in class. By enrolling yourself or your child in FloraDance you acknowledge that photos and videos may be taken and used for this purpose.

FloraDance may also take photos for advertising purposes to be used on the official FloraDance Website, social media and print. We will only ever use photos of dancers when we have your prior consent in the registration form.

You may withdraw consent at any time.

We reserve the right to request no photos or videos be taken by parents in class. Only the dance teacher knows which children dancers have given their consent

Additional charges

Additional cost may apply to highland dance pumps, costumes, class uniforms or external events/shows.


Premises

We rent both our studio spaces and therefore adhere to the code of conduct in both establishments. These include:

No food in the dance studios only bottles of water.

No outdoor shoes to be wore in the dance rooms only in the entrance and changing room. Siblings of the dancers wearing outdoor shoes are not permitted to enter the dance rooms.

There are limited number of parking spaces available. Cars may only be parked in the designated parking spaces..

No liability can be accepted for accidents, damage to property or loss of property. Insurance is the responsibility of the participants.

Covid

We are following the restrictions and advice from the Bundesrat and Dance Suisse. We reserved the right to ask you to follow the regulations displayed in the dance studio.

Intellectual property to protect logos/photos 

Photos and Videos on the FloraDance Website, Instagram and Facebook are owned by FlorDance and may not be re used for personal use

Behaviour

To ensure each dancer gets the most from their dance class and maximum enjoyment we ask dancers to adhere to these guidelines:

  • Respect the dance teacher, fellow students and other staff members at the studios

  • Take care of your dance space by tidying up before you leave

  • Ask for help when you need it and ask your questions

  • Help and support your fellow dance friends in need

Bullying of any kind will not be permitted at FloraDance.

Lost Property

Students are responsible for their own property and bring items at their own risk. FloraDance does not accept responsibility for any items lost or stolen. 

Health

Ongoing health conditions and allergies should be declared in the registration form prior to attending classes.

Any injuries should be discussed with the teacher prior to, or at the beginning of class.

Dancing is a physical activity and contains a certain amount of risk. Students taking part in any of our classes or events run by FloraDance do so at their own risk.

The dance teacher should be notified of any change in contact details and/or health issues.

DATA PROTECTION

  • When you give us your details we promise to keep them secure and not share them with a third party.

  • We may use your data to contact you in relation to updates about the dance school, invoicing, emergency notifications and sharing class activity.

  • All registration forms will be carefully deleted when a dancer terminates their membership at the dance school
